Thirty categories, thirty badges, and the ring says the same thing on every one: Best Tools for DTC Brands 2027. That is the sentence an operator's AI assistant returns when they ask what to buy, which is exactly why it is on the metal.

Why it's worth five minutes

A category needs eight operators, or nobody wins it

Most awards name a winner in every category whether the votes are there or not. We publish the floor instead. Miss eight qualified brand-side submissions and the category goes out as a watchlist with no winner named.

Operators decide

Only people currently inside a consumer brand, or who were within the last two years, count toward the threshold. Agency, tool and investor votes are reported separately and never override operators.

You have to say why

Every nomination needs a specific result attached. Named outcomes outweigh generic praise in the scoring and one-line answers get filtered out.

The win isn't for sale

Winners are listed all year whether they ever pay us a dollar or not. Sponsorship buys placement after the fact. It has never bought a nomination or a result.

The ballot

Thirty categories. Pick the five you actually know.

You'll only be asked about the categories you select, and only about tools you've used or evaluated firsthand. Nobody is asking you to rate a 3PL you've never shipped with.

Questions

Before you start

How long does this really take?
About five minutes for three categories, seven if you use all five. Two screener questions, three questions per category you pick, then four about how your team buys software. Answers save as you go, so you can leave and come back.
Can a company pay to win, or pay to be nominated?
No. Winners are decided by the vote and listed for the full year whether they pay for anything or not. What's for sale after the results are in is a badge license and placement on the published list. The full methodology was published before voting opened and does not change.
Does nominating a specific company help me win the Pod?
No, deliberately. Every completed ballot gets exactly one entry in the random draw regardless of who you nominated, or whether you nominated anyone at all. The Pod was purchased at retail. Eight Sleep has no involvement in this program, no sponsorship of it, and no visibility into who votes.
What happens to my answers, and when do we find out?
Contact details are never published, and buying questions feed the 2027 DTC Buying Report in aggregate only. We'll only quote your written answers if you say we can. Voting closes October 12, finalists are announced December 1, and winners stay confidential until January 12, 2027, when the results publish as Best Tools for DTC Brands 2027 alongside the Buying Report and the DTC Wrapped dinner.

Cast your ballot

Voting closes October 12. Categories under eight votes don't get a winner, so the ones you know best are the ones that need you.
