What this is
DTC Wrapped 2026 recognizes the brands, tools, and people shaping the industry. Results are based on qualified submissions from consumer-brand founders, operators, and executives. 1800DTC reviews entries for relevance, removes duplicates and ineligible responses, and considers vote volume, respondent experience, and the quality of supporting explanations.
The winning tools are published in January 2027 as Best Tools for DTC Brands 2027.
Who counts as a qualified voter
Anyone in the industry may submit a ballot. Only respondents who currently work inside a consumer brand, or who did within the previous 24 months, count as qualified brand-side submissions.
Responses from agencies, service providers, technology vendors and investors are collected, segmented, and reported separately. They are visible to us internally and they never override qualified brand-operator input.
How a winner is scored
| Factor | Weight |
|---|---|
| Qualified brand-side supportUnique qualified respondents, not raw vote count | 55% |
| Firsthand customer experienceCurrent and former users outweigh evaluated-only | 25% |
| Strength of explanationSpecific outcomes outweigh generic praise | 15% |
| Judging and fraud reviewTies, duplicates, coordinated voting | 5% |
Strength of explanation is assessed per category, on the written explanations that category received, rather than vote by vote.
The minimum vote threshold
A category must receive a minimum of eight qualified brand-side submissions to name a winner. Below that threshold the category publishes as a Category Watchlist: no winner is named, and no placement is sold in it.
We publish categories that miss the threshold rather than quietly dropping them.
What sponsorship does and does not buy
Sponsorship or payment has no influence on nomination, voting, or winner selection. This holds at every stage of the program.
- Winners are listed on the published list for the full year whether or not they ever pay 1800DTC anything.
- What is available for purchase after results are final is a badge license and placement on the published list. Those are commercial products sold to companies that already won.
- No company can pay to be nominated, pay to appear on the ballot, or pay to affect a result.
- Companies subject to an existing category-exclusivity agreement with 1800DTC may be nominated and may win. They are not eligible to purchase placement.
- Where a winner declines or is ineligible to purchase placement, that placement may be offered to the runner-up. The award itself is not transferable and remains with the winner.
Vote integrity
- One response per email address.
- A response submitted from a nominated company's own email domain does not count toward that company's own category. It counts normally in every other category.
- Submissions completed in under 90 seconds are flagged for manual review.
- Written explanations have a minimum length. Submissions that fail it are not counted.
- Any category showing a concentrated cluster of votes from a single domain goes to manual review before scoring.
- Every company on the ballot is verified as actively operating before nomination notices are sent.
The prize drawing
Respondents who complete the ballot are entered into a random drawing for one Eight Sleep Pod 5 in King size. Every completed response receives exactly one entry regardless of which companies it nominates, or whether it nominates any company at all. The prize was purchased at retail. Eight Sleep is not a sponsor of this program, has no involvement in its design or judging, and receives no respondent data.
Full terms, including the free mail-in method of entry, are in the official sweepstakes rules.
How your data is handled
- Contact details are never published.
- Buying-intent questions are published in aggregate only, never attributed to a person or a company.
- Written answers are quoted only with the permission level the respondent selected on the ballot: with attribution, anonymously, or not at all.
- Person-level switching intent is never shared with any third party.
- Nobody appears in a public directory without being contacted first.
